Automated monitoring of deep foundation pit in a city complex
Date:2025-01-26    0

Project Overview: The urban complex is located in a bustling area in the city center, with a foundation pit excavation depth of 18 meters and adjacent to existing buildings and city main roads. The geological conditions of the site are complex, with the upper part consisting of miscellaneous fill soil and the lower part consisting of silty clay and silt layers.

Monitoring content:

    • Horizontal displacement monitoring: Adopting a total station automatic monitoring system, monitoring points are arranged around the foundation pit to monitor the horizontal displacement of the retaining structure in real time..

    • Vertical displacement monitoring: Automated monitoring of the vertical displacement of the surrounding surface, buildings, and retaining structures of the foundation pit through a level..

    • Deep horizontal displacement monitoring: Using an inclinometer automatic monitoring system to monitor the horizontal displacement of the enclosure structure at different depths..

Composition of Automated Monitoring System: Composed of sensors, data acquisition and transmission equipment, and monitoring center software.. Sensors collect monitoring data in real-time, send the data to data collection and transmission devices through wireless transmission, and then transmit it to the monitoring center software for analysis and processing.

Monitoring result analysis: During the excavation process of the foundation pit, monitoring data showed that the horizontal displacement of the retaining structure on the south side of the pit reached its maximum value of 35mm on the 10th day, exceeding the warning value.. By taking timely support and reinforcement measures, the subsequent displacement gradually stabilized, ensuring the safety of the foundation pit and surrounding environment.
