Automated monitoring of ancient buildings in a certain city
Date:2025-01-26    0

Project Background: This ancient building is located in the old urban area of the city. Most of the ancient buildings in the block are wooden structures from the Ming and Qing dynasties. After years of erosion, some buildings have undergone structural deformation and wall cracking.. To protect these precious historical and cultural heritages, automated monitoring will be carried out.

Monitoring content:

    • Settlement Monitoring: Static level gauges are evenly arranged around the foundation of ancient buildings, and through the principle of connected pipes, the settlement differences of each measuring point are monitored in real time to accurately grasp the foundation settlement situation.

    • Tilt Monitoring: High precision electronic inclinometers are used and installed in key parts of the building's main structure to monitor changes in the building's tilt angle in real time and detect potential tilt risks in a timely manner.

    • Crack Monitoring: Using a crack meter to monitor existing cracks in ancient building walls, beams, and other parts, accurately measuring changes in crack width and length, and evaluating crack development trends.

Composition of Automated Monitoring System: Composed of various sensors, data acquisition and transmission modules, and cloud platforms.. The data collected by sensors is gathered through wireless transmission to the data collection and transmission module, and then uploaded to the cloud platform to achieve data storage, analysis, and visualization display, making it convenient for management personnel to view remotely in real-time.

Monitoring effect: Through long-term monitoring, we have successfully captured the small settlement and tilting trends of some ancient buildings caused by changes in groundwater level, and timely activated protective measures to avoid further development of diseases..
